Origins

Back in 1978 Proxitronic was outsourced from the Bosch TV manufacturing plant. It soon turned its interest to image intensifiers. Contrarily to competing manufacturers, Proxitronic focused its development efforts mainly on UV sensors and related products/systems. As a result we now boast world-leading UV and solar-blind performance.

Currently Proxitronic legally consists of two companies: a holding named Proxitronic Industries AG handles the administration and the Proxitronic Detector Systems where the actual production takes place.
